How much does it cost?

110 NIS per rider (not including bike) 220 NIS per rider including hire of bicycle and helmet.
You can either purchase your tour in advance (220 NIS per rider)
or  you can pay  110 NIS per person deposit, to hold your reservation, with the remainder payable in cash only at the meeting point. To book a tour click here.

When do we meet  and Where?

21:30 (prompt) at the parking lot of Tayelet Armon Hanaziv, Daniel Yanovski St.

Please note that there are no bathrooms at the starting point.

What is the route of the tour?

The tour begins at Tayelet Armon HaNatziv and continues through the neighborhoods of Abu-Tor and Yemin Moshe. From there we will pass through the Jaffa Gate, via the Mamilla Mall area. The ride will go through the Christian and Jewish Quarters of the Old City, before continuing to Mount Zion. We do ask the cooperation of the participants in respecting the right of the residents for peace and quiet. The tour is circular and will end at the Tayelet parking lot. Our guides will be happy to call a cab for you at the end of the ride.

How many riders participate in each tour?

8-22 riders in a group. Private tours for less than 8 riders are also available. (contact us for more info)

What is the minimum age for the ride?

12 years old.

What should I bring and wear ?

Water & a small back-pack to carry it
Shoes not sandals

We will supply each rider with reflective lights and a helmet.

What is the level of difficulty of the tour?

The round-circuit tour is about 12  kilometers. It is suitable for intermediate-level bicyclists who feel comfortable on a bike. This is a city ride and Jerusalem is a hilly city.  This tour is not suitable for riders who are beginners or riders who have not been on a bike for many years.

Changes and Cancellations

Please notify us of changes in number of riders or cancellations at least 48 hours before the tour.
If you paid the full amount (220 nis) in advance and you cancel up to 24 hours before the tour, you will receive a 50% refund of 110 NIS (by paypal). There are no refunds for deposits.
If we cancel the tour (rain or other reasons) you will receive a full refund.

The Midnight Biking bike tour was founded by Moshe Gold, an educator and a tour guide who has been guiding Jerusalem for many years. All our guides are licensed tour guides and all our bike support staff are very experienced. Moshegold75@gmail.com

Ariel Gabay grew up on  Kibbutz Mishmar HaNegev, and he served in the IDF as a paratrooper. After completing his national service, Ariel studied at the prestigious Beit Berl Land of Israel Studies Program, completing a B.A. and received a license as a tour guide. Ariel is an expert in the geography of Israel, and his educational approach incorporates the Land of Israel with Jewish sources and the dynamic history of the Jewish People. Ariel is a licensed tour driver, as well and he resides in Jerusalem. He is married and has two children.
